Christmas is Coming!

The holiday season is full of events from winter festivities at elementary schools with sticky candy canes, overly processed sugar cookies (which I brought!!!), and 25 kids on out of control sugar highs to forced office parties with no libations and one size fits all gifts that end up....regifted (be honest, you know you do it)! This year we have attended a slew of various holiday gatherings from cozy winter weddings, intimate get togethers with close friends, corporate networking "opportunities" and even a virtual bridal shower! As always, we took stock of what makes party rockin' vs what makes a party...stoppin'! Here are some of our lessons learned:

• Have a planner/host/organizer to make sure the best laid plans are executed!
• Have background noise (preferably perfectly chosen tunes)
• Make it personal-guests want to feel special and appreciated
• Don't force something that ain't gonna happen
• Go with the flow
• Have fun...no matter what!!!!
